Programming 1. The art of debugging a blank sheet of paper (or, in these days of on-line editing, the art of debugging an empty file). "Bloody instructions which, being taught, return to plague their inventor" ("Macbeth", Act 1, Scene 7) 2. A pastime similar to banging one's head against a wall, but with fewer opportunities for reward. 3. The most fun you can have with your clothes on. 4. The least fun you can have with your clothes off. -- The entry on 'programming' in the Jargon File |

MPTime 1.1 MPTime is an administrative tracking app for the Science Olympiad Mission Possible event. It does everything necessary to keep the event supervisor and the admins happy. 20 June, 2004 12:55am Simple Proxy Released I have created a simple web proxy servlet program to circumvent oppressive web filters run by many schools. Here is the source and compiled files to help improve your browsing experience. :-) 14 February, 2004 1:20am Yes folks, it's done. After nearly two months of work, JavaBot 2.0 is done, living up to all its planned glory. It can be downloaded from the above link. Enjoy! 9 December, 2003 3:00am JavaBot 2.0 in the Works! I have begun development of AimBot 2.0. This total system redesign will include such features as
Look for the new and improved AimBot 2.0 in the comming weeks. 27 October, 2003 10:00pm The Fate of an MMORPG After much deliberation, I have decided to put my MMORPG project on hold for a while. Although I have made significant progress and developed a number of innovative technologies, the scope of the project has simply ballooned beyond my desire to keep going. I wish to think that my efforts have not been in vein, and thus am putting the source on the web for anyone to use freely. In the near future, I wish to repackage some of the more usefull game oriented classes into a generic game utility package. The origonal game source can be downloaded here, as well as all the supporting packages. 3 September, 2003 5:50pm BattleTetris is up! It's good to get that project done. It has been on the back burner for far too long. Take a look for an example of simple networking code and a bit of code-based graphics. 29 July, 2003 11:00pm Where have I been? You may have noticed that there has been a lapse in the development of this site. Well, maby not. Anyway, I have begun development of my masterpice. A fully functional object oriented massivly multiplayer online role playing game. Development has been slow, but consistant. This will be the place to be when it is done! 7 July, 2003 4:30pm JavaBot Tutorial I have created a simple tutorial on how to create your very own JavaBot based on my code base. Enjoy! 26 May, 2003 3:00pm Behold the Hall of Logs. These logs represent the most entertaining exploits of the tandem Java Bots B0HA and B0tk1ng. The top 30 have been posted for now. More will come soon. 12 May, 2003 9:05pm Learning From Code Alone I remember first learning to program. I remember how tough it could be and how sometimes a good example was all that was necessary to clear things up. If you are one of these people, you're in luck. I have tried to find the educational value of each program on this site and note it in the program description. Also, I have provided links on each program's page to any applicable tutorials relating to the program. Good luck in your programming adventures. 30 Apr, 2003 11:20pm Nuclear Software Supports GNU That's right folks, everything here is licensed under the GNU public license. If you don't know what that means, it means that all my software is free for the taking, free to be modified to your taste, and free to be redistributed at your leisure. I do this because I strongly support the cause of free software and want to help others learn to be better programmers by opening my source to the public. The biggest reason I give my software away is because I believe that true programming is done for the love of the art, not the love of the dollar. For if a thing is not diminished by being shared with others, it is not rightly owned if it is only owned and not shared. -- Aurelius Augustinus (4th century) 26 Apr, 2003 3:40am Stuff You Will Find Here Java...lots of Java. The government sent me to Java training recently, and I have been soaking up them jive programming skills. Or something like that. Anyway, the projects bar shows all. There are all sorts of goodies here, from networked tic tac toe to an IM bot! More to come on the bot later. There is also a bit of C++. I learned on C++ and hold the language dear to my heart. This site may even sport some apps for OS X assuming I find the time to learn cocoa. 24 Apr, 2003 10:10pm The Beginning And so it begins. With a flick of the wrist and the click of a few keys, Nuclear Software is born on the web. I designed this site to be a resource for the budding software developer, as well as to provide a place to showcase my various programming creations. 24 Apr, 2003 7:30pm |
